On Track Hiking Hire are proud to be contributing toward the sponsorship Jonica Miller to attend World Challenge (Education through Exploration) in November 2009.  Jonica is a Year 9 student at Santa Maria.  The challenge will take place over 28 days in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The World Challenge is education program that seeks to develop life skills in young people.  It is a journey of self discovery educating youth in leadership, money management, global and environmental awareness.  The students do all their own planning for the trip 18 mths prior to departure and take control of the trip whilst overseas.  Part of the planning involves a community project where the girls will visit and support a local orphanage or similar.

One of their team based challenges is a 4 day hike through some amazing terrain. Sounds like the sort of stuff On Track Hiking Hire thrive in!
