The kayaks once again proved that there is heaps of fun to be had out on the water and anyone reading this blog should consider hiring our kayaks for an oar-some weekend (pardon the pun!).

The On Track Boys took young Fraser out for a weekend of water sports and fishing. ?We headed out Friday night and made our way to the Blackwood River, pitching the tent at Wrights Bridge. We wet a line at the Blackwood with no success before heading down to the Donnelly River for a spot of kayaking and fishing.

We launched at Donnelly River Landing and allowed the flowing river to take us downstream. Along the way we wet a line a again, with no success, but enjoyed a fun filled afternoon paddling around.

After lunch we headed for the Warren River - this time setting up camp at Rooney's Bridge. We fished from the banks for a while before heading off on the kayaks downstream. By 5pm the redfin were on the bite and we had a few to our name. ?Lucky for us we brought the foil, so with a bit of beer and some dried vegies and seasoning from our two minute noodles, we wrapped our catch up and left it in the coals while the trangia boiled away with our nasi goreng rice.

The next morning we headed off to Moon's Crossing. We negotiated the water covered causeway before heading north along the banks. After a bit of walk we found the ideal spot and fished with an array of lures.

Cam landed a 1/2kg beauty in no time and soon followed it up with a 44cm/1kg monster! (pic to follow). A couple of smaller ones were later landed but as quickly as they had arrived the Redfin were gone. Just as well - we had to be back in Perth by 5pm.
