Have you tried Munda Biddi?
I was fortunate enough to hear a talk about the Munda Biddi Trail by their chairman - Ron Coleman late last year. I had never been on a mountain bike as such, but when I heard what the Munda Biddi Trail has to offer I couldn't resist having a go!
In a matter of weeks I had purchased a mountain bike, maps and enough cycling gear to get me started. I headed off with my son to tackle the section from Jarrahdale to Wungong campsite - around 20 kms.
It was great fun. The campsites are very well equipped. The Wungong site had a toilet, 2 x picnic tables, sleeping under cover for about 30 people, 2 x fresh water tanks, bike racks, an area to do running repairs on your bike and of course a view to die for.
In fact I was so impressed, I joined as a member and offered my services as one of the maintenance volunteers (something I already do with the Bibbulmun Track Foundation).
It also inspired me to buy some extra bikes and gear, so I could offer these for hire for my clients.
So come on - do something different - try the Munda Biddi Trail!
