Visited the Peel Region lately?
I recently accepted a position as Treasurer for the Peel Trails Group ("PTG")- a peak advisory body that is open to all trail users in the Peel Region. It has taken me a little while to get my head around the role the PTG plays - but it goes something like this.
The Peel Region has many shires - Boddington, Murray, Mandurah, Waroona & Serpentine/Jarrahdale. Within these regions there are numerous trails covering walking, horse riding, canoeing, bike riding, diving, 4WD, multi-use to name a few. Funding is required for these - either at an improvement level or the creation of a new trail. The PTG help review and strategise about their trails and then seek funding and support from various government agencies and organisations (like LotteriesWest).
What does this mean for you?
I would hope access to a range of trails you didn't know existed! It did for me!
So if you want to know more about trails in the Peel Region - talk to me or visit the PTG website at www.peeltrails.com.au. My goal is to visit most (if not all of these trails) to gather information so we can improve and enhance the PTG website. If you visit of these trails, please support us by adding a "user experience" via the website.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
